Ten years ago if you would have said to someone, ?There?s an app for that? the person would have looked at you and had no idea what you were talking about.
Today we know that there?s a smartphone app for just about anything you need to do and some of them can come in very handy when shopping for furniture and planning to redecorate a room. There are many that aid with other home improvement projects as well and we?ll talk about some of those another time.
Now we want to look at four apps that will give you solid design inspiration ideas and help you choose the best Nick Scali furniture to beautify your home. And, many of these are free. How can you beat that?
1. Houzz Interior Design Ideas. This free app is available for both iOS and Android devices. The Houzz website has become one of the biggest collections of great interior design, decorating, furnishing and remodelling ideas. You?ll find plenty of examples of how people have used beautiful furniture, like the pieces featured in Nick Scali showrooms, to create stunning rooms. The last time we checked there were more than one million high resolution photos at Houzz. There are many ways to search and browse. The word ?addictive? is often used to describe this app. Free.
2. Dream Home and Dream Home HD. These are iPhone and iPad apps that arrange home decorating content into three main categories: room type, colour and style. Within each of these are a number of subcategories, so useful information is sliced and diced in ways that are sure to target your needs. You can submit your own photos so bring your smartphone camera into your nearby a store created Nick Scali store or into your living room and add your own ideas. These apps cost about a dollar.
3. HGTV to GO. This is a series of apps created by America?s HGTV (Home and Garden Television) for the iPad and iPhone. They give you access to video content, style guides, 360 degree photos, slide shows and a lot more. No matter what room you need to decorate or buy furniture for, you?ll get a lot of ideas with these various apps. Plus, they?re all free.
4. iHome HD. This app isn?t as fully featured as the others, but it does have some stunning photos you might find inspirational. You can also use the images as wallpaper. You?ll also discover that many of the styles you see as you explore the Nick Scali collection are echoed here. Free.
