Book Review: Lean on Me by Tori Scott

categories: Book, Military Family, Drama, Small Town Romance, Home and Family, Single Parenting, Traditional Romance, Contemporary Romance

Lean on Me was my very first book, one that nearly sold to Harlequin. It's the story of two single parents brought together, though unwillingly, by a near tragedy involving their children.

Being a single parent carries unique challenges and, for Sandy Morrow, the need to prove to herself and others that she can handle her life just fine on her own. She was doing just fine until the Thurmans moved in next door and turned her life upside down.

Hunter Thurman has spent his life protecting his country, but now his son is the one who needs him most. But Jason is now a teenager who thinks he's done just fine without his dad for this long, and he doesn't need him now. From Hunter's viewpoint, not only does his son need him, but also his neighbor, Sandy. He's bound and determined to help them both--whether they want him to or not.

Lean on Me is a story about love, family, loyalty, and honor, with a dash of humor and a touch of drama. Have tissues handy!
